Twin Palms: Frank Sinatra's house
As one of New Jersey’s most famous natives, Frank Sinatra made Hoboken a legend. It is while he is already celebrated as a singer that he begins to act and collaborates with Gene Kelly and Ava Gardner, with whom he gets married. Thanks to his enormous cachet, he moved to Twin Palms, his luxurious Palm Spring home, and enjoyed his success. The parties that he organizes in this place, which was entirely designed according to his requirements, are legendary.
It is said that he used to hoist a flag in the colors of the Jack Daniel’s whiskey brand to signal to the neighbors the beginning of the hostilities. Regularly, Lana Turner, Lauren Bacall, Marilyn Monroe and her colleagues of the Rat Pack are part of it. Guests can enjoy the piano-shaped pool, shaded by palm trees, as well as the lavish, air-conditioned interior.
7934 Sinatra is the name of an asteroid discovered on September 26, 1989 and named in honor the crooner.
Twin Palms Frank Sinatra Estate
More than just a villa, Twin Palms is an avant-garde home built for Frank Sinatra in 1947.
At the height of his fame, 32-year-old Frank Sinatra signed a lucrative million-dollar contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Wishing to establish himself near the studios, in California, he ordered the construction of a house to his disproportion. A building entirely on one level, with a surface area of over 1,300 m2, equipped with four bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The swimming pool, meanwhile, is shaped like a piano.
