“🎶 Over my head
Into my heart
Over my world
You’re pulling me apart 🎶”
Word of Unbelievable
After the release of Hi, Texas’ tenth studio album, bandleader and singer Sharleen Spiteri decided on a whim to come and shoot the video for the album’s fourth track, Unbelievable, at Transpa Studio in Saint-Yrieix-sur-Charente.
The clip features Sharleen Spiteri’s daughter, Misty Kyd Heath, playing a young version of her mother. The video is shot entirely in black and white under the direction of Sean Ellis, the Oscar-nominated director of Cashback.
For the Hi album, the Texas band decided to delve into their past through little-known recordings and forgotten recording sessions. “We wanted to celebrate music, the art of composition, the friendship between musicians… I write songs because it’s my dream. When I was a teenager, I dreamed of writing even one song that could touch people. And when we did “Hi,” I feel like we did that a little bit subconsciously.” reveals Sharleen Spiteri during an interview for Pure Charts.
The Scottish band Texas has sold over 40,000,000 albums worldwide.
