“Well done, you were beautiful! Well done girl!”

Frédéric Lourmel (Éric Caravaca)

For her first film, The Dazzled, Sarah Suco decided to open her feature film with an artistic sequence taking place under the marquee of the National Circus School of Châtellerault. We discover Camille (Céleste Brunnquell), a young girl with a passion for the circus arts.

When her performance is over, she joins her father Frédéric (Éric Caravaca) and her mother Christine (Camille Cottin) who congratulate her. Camille’s teacher then asks if she can stay for the party, which her mother refuses, claiming that her little sister is very tired. Camille being insistent, her father accepts, bringing back her mother, her brothers and her sister to come back two hours later.

Several people from Chatellerault were chosen as extras, in particular Luz Vignoux-Lahache (a senior student at the circus school) who acted as an acrobatic double for Céleste Brunnquell.

It was at the age of 15 that Céleste Brunnquell got her first role in the film The Dazzled.

Chapiteau de l'Ecole Nationale de Cirque

The National Circus School in Châtellerault has a big top installed all year round for its various performances.

Located at the Ilôt de Laâge, the former Gendarmerie school of Châtellerault, the blue and white big top is one of the showrooms of Châtellerault where the performances of the national circus school are realized. Originally, the big top was yellow and red and located in the Parc du Verger. It is for the 20 years of the school that the current big top is installed on its current site.
