The Gates: a family history
Having had visions, Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) goes to the abandoned Gates family home. This family was decimated after the death of the son caused by Gomez Addams (Luis Guzmán) during his youth. An important place of the plot where a disturbing atmosphere reigns.
An old house
The house really exists. It is a very old house located in the countryside of Bucharest in Romania. The house was once home to Olga Greceanu, a former painter.
For the purposes of the series, the house underwent extensive work, including the construction of a double garage. A new entrance, a new driveway and the complete destruction of the interior were also necessary to give it the ambiance of an abandoned house.
The thing (the hand accompanying Wednesday) is not entirely realized in CGI. It is played by Victor Dorobantu with the help of makeup and blue background.
Conacul Olga Greceanu
Conacul Olga Greceanu is the former home of the Romanian painter of the same name.
An old house located in the countryside of Bucharest, it once hosted Romanian painter Olga Greceanu. In popular culture, it is known for hosting the Gates family in the Netflix series Wednesday.
