The battle of Poitiers
At the beginning of the 8th century, the Umayyad Caliphate, with the help of an army of Islamized Berbers, conquered the Iberian Peninsula, then Septimania and part of the Visigoth Kingdom. In 732, the Franks of Charles Martel answered the call of Eudes, Duke of Aquitaine, and stopped the Arab conquest at Poitiers.
