After six years of absence from the music scene, Rihanna signs a stunning return. As Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters in early November, the singer unveils her track from the film’s soundtrack, Lift Me Up. A tribute to Chadwick Boseman, who died in 2020, the eternal interpreter of T’Challa, the Black Panther.
To illustrate her walk, Rihanna shoots her clip at the beach of Sycamore Cove at sunset, all interspersed with unreleased images of the upcoming film on the continuation of the adventures of Wakanda, now deprived of its king.
The video is directed by Autumn Durald Arkapaw, director of photography on the film but also on the TV series Loki. Does this comeback herald an upcoming album from the singer with over 130 million followers on Instagram?
In just two days, the Lift Me Up video has been viewed over 17 million times on YouTube.
