Like Sylvester Stallone in his time with the Madison Square Garden in New York, Michael B. Jordan chose a mythical place to locate the main fight of his film. Thus, the conclusion of Creed 3 takes place in Dodger Stadium. The overall shot showing the ring, placed in the middle of the field where Dodgers baseball games are traditionally played, was made with digital imaging. The boxing scenes were produced at a studio in Atlanta, Georgia.
Creed without Balboa
Creed 3 is marked by the absence of the character of Rocky Balboa. Sylvester Stallone refused to appear in the film because of a deep disagreement with the historical producer of the Rocky franchise Irvin Winkler about the rights of the saga. An absence about which Michael B. Jordan explained to IGN at the time of the pre-production of the film: “Yeah, I think that Sly let it be known that he wasn’t coming back for Creed 3 this one but I think, you know, his essence and his spirit… there’s always going to be a little bit of Rocky within Adonis,“These words did not appease Sylvester Stallone. The actor added that he would never watch Creed 3.
Super villain fights
Creed 3 reunites Michael B. Jordan, aka Erik Killmonger in Black Panther and Jonathan Majors, aka Kang the Conqueror in Loki and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Fans have not failed to have fun with this unlikely duel between two leading actors of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Two characters who have not crossed paths on the big screen.
Creed 3 is the first film directed by actor Michael B. Jordan.
Inaugurated on April 10, 1962, Dodger Stadium is, as its name suggests, the stadium of the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team.
Having also hosted the Los Angeles Angels, Dodger Stadium is today the preferred venue for the Dodgers. Located near the center of Los Angeles, it can accommodate 56,000 spectators. In addition to baseball games, it is also regularly used by musicians. This is how Elton John, Madonna and even Lady Gaga have made their mark there since it opened.
