Squid Game Island
Hwang Jun-ho (Wi Ha-joon), the young policeman looking for his brother, infiltrates the Squid Game. He discovers that the complex where the game takes place is located on a remote and uninhabited island.
The heart of the island is home to the Squid Game arenas, including the one used for the 1,2,3, sun. This speaker has a particularity because it has a retractable roof with the colors of the island, which allows it to be invisible for the satellites.
Of course, the scenes shot in the complex were not filmed on Seungbong-ri Island, but in studios in Daejeon. The producers decided to choose this island because of its particular “C” shape, and its difficulty of access. Until recently, it was still not referenced on Google map, reinforcing the mystery of the place.
In Squid Game, 456 debt-ridden players participate in this game. As soon as a player loses, he is eliminated by a bullet in the head. The goal: to be the last survivor to win the game.
Seungbong-ri island
Seungbong-ri Island is located in Ongjin District on the coast of Incheon, South Korea.
An island with the particularity of forming a “C”, Seungbong-ri is located off the coast of Incheon in South Korea, in the district of Ongjin. The island is very difficult to access, and few visitors come to the place. Nevertheless, some inhabitants live there.
