My name is Robert Neville. I am a survivor living in New York City. I am broadcasting on all AM frequencies. I will be at the South Street Seaport every day at midday when the sun is highest in the sky.

Every day, as he indicates in his radio calls, Robert Neville (Will Smith) waits at the South Street Seaport.
He tries to communicate with potential survivors of the deadly virus. The chances are slim, but he knows that there are uninfected people in New York.
It is also here that he decides to attack the mutants in a kamikaze operation, the night after losing his dog Sam, his only companion in the devastated city. He will be saved in extremis by the surprise arrival of Anna (Alice Braga).

At a press conference in Japan, Will Smith unintentionally described the ending of the film. Warner Bros asked all the journalists present not to reveal the ending of the feature film, which was followed by all the people.
