“Do you want to save your school or not?”

The Reeve (François Briault)

In order to save the only class in his small village from closing, the mayor of the small village of Saint-Laurent, Jacques (Sam Karmann), agrees to welcome refugees into his village. By welcoming new families, the school will be able to keep its class, avoiding the children of the village to go to another school.

The small village of Saint-Laurent is actually the village of Benon. It is the school of this small village which was used during the shooting of the film. Moreover, despite the rain during the whole shooting, the municipality did everything to welcome all the actors, inhabitants, extras and production teams in very good conditions.

400

The filming of the movie required 400 extras, mainly recruited locally.
