Restaurant
In the first episode of the first season of Lockwood & Co. Penniless, she actively seeks employment as a ghost hunter. It was therefore important to shoot the sequence in which she finds the Lockwood Agency ad, that the character be in a popular place known for its affordable menus. In this, E Pellicci ticked all the boxes.
Popular crossroads
A favorite meeting place for workers since its opening in 1900, the E Pellicci restaurant is a true institution. These are all reasons why Joe Cornish and his team decided to film the scene in which Lucy Carlyle sees her fate take an unexpected turn in the first season of Lockwood & Co.
The rise of a Londoner
A true Lockwood & Co. revelation, Ruby Stokes plays Lucy Carlyle, a young woman who can hear and see ghosts. A role that the young woman welcomed, as she explained to Cosmopolitan magazine: “What attracted me to the role of Lucy is that she is not only the center of the story, where the heroine, but a balanced and rather normal teenager. She manages to give some balance to her world, populated by ghosts, while going through this universal experience of being a teenager, without shying away from saying what she thinks, shamelessly. She is herself.”
The first season of Lockwood & Co. follows the plot of the first two volumes of Jonathan Stroud’s literary saga.
