In the middle of dinner, despite his puzzled expression, M receives an unwelcome visit from Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) and Q (Ben Whishaw) who want to update him on Bond’s (Daniel Craig) movements.
But this little interview does not go as planned for the duo. Their boss asks them to keep the information to themselves and delete it, leaving Bond alone. A necessary evil according to him.
With that, M left the restaurant, leaving his two employees stunned.
Spectre is the second James Bond film directed by Sam Mendes.
Rules
Founded in 1798, Rules is reputed to be the oldest restaurant of its kind in London.
Thomas Rule promises his family to say goodbye to his past misfortune by opening his oyster bar in Covent Garden. A successful gamble, the business flourished.
In 200 years, the business has known only 3 families of owners. The Rule, then the Bell just before the Great War and finally since 1984, John Mayhew.
Many celebrities have frequented the establishment such as Buster Keaton, Stan Laurel, Charles Laughton, Clark Gable, Charlie Chaplin and John Barrymore.
Intellectual and literary circles have also met several times at Rules, where good food and philosophical thoughts form the perfect duo.
