One of the most important scenes in Murder Mystery 2 takes place in front of the restaurant Les Cailloux, at the junction of rue Alphand, rue des cinq Diamants and rue de Butte aux Cailles, in the 13th arrondissement. The characters, played by Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston and Mark Strong, are chatting in Café Le Beau, an establishment built from scratch in a studio, located where a greengrocer is actually located.
The beautiful Parisian café
If Café Beau does not exist, unlike the restaurant Les Cailloux and the baker L’Artisan, clearly visible on the screen, it has a very Parisian patina. The teams of decorators wanted to make the illusion as convincing as possible, even if it meant using some famous clichés often cited in American films shot in France.
Badly treated actors
Delighted to be back on screen four years after the first part, Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler have nevertheless suffered on the set of Murder Mystery 2. Adam Sandler, already affected by hip problems, had to undergo surgery when he returned to the United States. Jennifer Aniston, on the other hand, was injured during the last day of shooting.
Murder Mystery 2 is the 10th film that Adam Sandler has shot for Netlifx.
