Port of Royan
In the port of Royan, a fisherman is found dead. An old acquaintance of Captain Marleau is accused of murder by the police officer in charge of the investigation, played by Arnaud Ducret.
Many sequences were shot on the port, including tough interrogations or simply the discovery of the corpse. It is on these same quays that the fish market was even transformed into a police station for the needs of the shooting.
After having shot in Angoulême and on the island of Ré, Josée Dayan returns to the Charentes for this episode. The director confided to the microphone of France 3 that “Royan, it is pleasant especially out of season. There are no tourists so it’s a bit like being in a studio”.
The adventures of Captain Marleau are followed by an average of 6 million viewers.
Port of Royan
Inaugurated in 1965, the port of Royan is located near the city center and the Grande Conche beach.
Already known during the Middle Ages, the port of Royan never stopped developing. Over the years, it has undergone several modifications and other developments. It includes a marina which is one of the most important in the region. Many events are organized there, like the Tour de France à la Voile. It is also from the port that ferries take visitors to the Médoc, at the level of the Pointe de Grave.
