Saga Lost Bullet
Movie Lost Bullet 2 Guillaume Pierret (2022)
Back in the ranks of the Police, Lino (Alban Lenoir) finds his famous modified Renault 21 in a shed. He then starts to customize it in order to prepare his new mission. A scene shot in one of the hangars of the Saint-Affrique-Belmont airfield in the Aveyron department.

“We’ll get you back on your feet. I’m warning you, I hope you like blue.”

Lino (Alban Lenoir)

The director Guillaume Pierret shot Lost Bullet 2: Back for More in the Hérault department, in the streets of cities like Montpellier, Agde or Sète. But the film also called upon the facilities of the Saint-Affrique-Belmont airfield. It is here, in one of the large hangars, that Lino (Alban Lenoir) finds his Renault 21 before diving back into the action.

Fast and furious

The star car of Lost Bullet 2: Back for More makes its return in the sequel. Repainted in blue for the occasion, it is once again at the center of the plot. The director Guillaume Pierret explained to the newspaper Le Parisien: “There are some special Renault 21 models that I would have liked to find, especially rally models. But they are worth a lot of money, they are still collector cars, and the people who own them didn’t really want to sell them to us so that we could destroy them! So we shot with original Renault 21s. It went well and we didn’t break everything.

Vintage model

But in fact, why a Renault 21? Guillaume Pierret stressed, once again for Le Parisien: “It’s not a fetish, but it had to be an old enough car to be feared for it, compared to the other, more modern and imposing vehicles. It turns out that I had already shot with Renault 21s. It’s a bit of a cult car in France. It was ideal. Rather than shooting with a BMW, or those kinds of models that are more common in American movies. I know that there is a big fan club around this car. They are mechanics or amateur drivers who do tuning and do not necessarily have unlimited means. All these old vehicles have a special aura, because they have no, or very few, electronics. And they are easy to repair. They are becoming rare since Lost ball.

Preferring to concentrate on Lost Bullet 2: Back for More, Alban Lenoir refused a role in Fast & Furious X.
