“C’est qui ce fou ?”

A passerby

After the track, the off-piste. Speeding through the streets of Chauvigny, the Formula 3, with Tom (Jean-Philippe Bèche) on board, follows a route that takes it between rue Faideau, rue des Trois Rois, rue Saint-Pierre, rue des Rampes and Place du Donjon.

Diverted by a strange troubadour and zigzagging among the inhabitants dressed as medieval characters, the car stops in front of a fire-eater who, with a single breath, sends it to a completely different land.

This scene was particularly funny to realize. The extras and inhabitants willingly played the game of disguise and medieval festival in place of the famous keep of Chauvigny also the keep of Gouzon.

“You know how to drive people crazy”, the production manager poked fun at the situation with the director, Olivier Chavarot. The latter wanted to make the filming particularly fun, which seems to have been very successful.

500

During the shooting, and in order to contribute to a relaxed atmosphere, no less than 500 firecrackers were used.

Dungeon Gouzon

The Dungeon Gouzon was built during the 12th and 13th centuries. The architectural ensemble offers a breathtaking panorama of the city and the region.

Formerly more extensive, it remains only the Dungeon Gouzon of the eponymous castle. First belonging to the family of Beaumont, then to Gouzon, the residence was acquired in the 14th century by Fort d’Aux, bishop of Poitiers.

Today, the place hosts a space of industrial archaeology and numerous archaeological researches have brought to light finds from the Neolithic and protohistoric period.
