Owen Grady (Chris Pratt)

Bourne Wood, in Surrey, offers many advantages to the major Hollywood studios. Since the end of the 1990s, the latter have regularly come here to produce their films. Located right next to Pinewood Studios, the location is comfortable and allows for all sorts of storylines that are supposed to take place in the forest. It is also possible to construct buildings to fully illustrate various stories. This is what Juan Antonio Bayona does when it comes to housing Owen Grady the main character of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Universal’s craftsmen build a real cabin in the woods. Some curious people manage to take pictures that will be leaked on the Internet. If the house looks so real on the screen, it is simply because it was built as a real house and not as a movie set.

The house easily allows the team to travel back and forth between Pinewood Studios and the forest. The filming also exploited the beauty of the Hawaiian archipelago, the birthplace of the entire saga, where Steven Spielberg first gave birth to the dinosaurs, but also used several locations in Wales.

Very ambitious from a visual point of view, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is the most expensive episode. Its budget, estimated at 170 million dollars, was nevertheless largely repaid by receipts amounting to 1,310,466,296 worldwide.
