Nevermore: a school like no other
Directed by Larissa Weems (Gwendoline Christie), the Nevermore Academy has the particularity of welcoming only “marginalized” students to its establishment.
Thus, vampires, werewolves and mermaids live together in the school to study like everyone else.

In the land of vampires
In the Wednesday series, Nevermore Academy is located in New England. Being a region of the United States with a strong European past, the architecture of the academy and the nearby town has a strong similarity to that architectural style. It was therefore decided to shoot the entire series in Romania, the country of Dracula.
Since Nevermore is a castle, the Wednesday teams used Cantacuzino’s castle for the exterior shots. Not corresponding totally to the vision wanted by the creators of the series, it is then digitally modified to add several important elements as the room of Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) and Enid (Emma Myers).
The Adams Family was born in a comic strip written by Charles Addams and first published in 1938.
Cantacuzino Castle
Located in Busteni, Romania, Cantacuzino Castle is one of the main monuments of the city with a strong architectural, historical and artistic value.
Built in 1911 by the architect Grigore Cerchez, the Cantacuzino Castle is built on a former hunting lodge of the princely family of Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino.
Place of residence of the Cantacuzino family until 1930, it will be afterwards nationalized in 1948. Today it is open to the public.
