“- He’s a very strange young man.

– He’s an idiot, comes from upbringing, parents were probably idiots too. Lorraine, if you ever have a kid like that, I’ll disown you.”

Stella Baines (Frances Lee McCain) and Sam Baines (George DiCenzo)

Marty’s trying to catch up with his dad from Lou’s coffee shop. When he succeeds, he has the displeasure of watching George McFly (Crispin Glover) in the middle of a voyeuristic session in front of the house of his mother, Lorraine Baines (Lea Thompson).

When George falls from the tree, he fails to get hit by a car. Marty comes to his rescue but gets hit by the vehicle himself. He does not yet know that it was his grandfather and that this accident was supposed to be the founding meeting of the relationship between his father and his mother.

Very quickly, his mother falls in love with him. Marty doesn’t know it yet, but he’s just turned the course of time upside down and questioned his own existence.

Lorraine thinks Marty’s name is Calvin Klein, because of the make of his underwear. But this name changes depending on the translation of the country! In reality in France, the nickname is Pierre Cardin while in Spain it is presented as Levi Strauss.
