The production of Game of Thrones has taken place in many places around the world, in Morocco, Malta, Croatia, Spain, Iceland and of course Northern Ireland. In the latter country, showrunners D.B. Weiss operated two studios: the Paint Hall in Belfast and the Linen Mills in Bandridge. This is where the costumes and weapons were made, as well as the set elements used throughout the eight seasons of the series.

In Linen Mills, the craftsmen built an entire section of the famous Wall, as well as the throne room in Peyredragon, the courtyard in King’s Landing and the Night’s Watch dining hall in Castle Black. Since the end of the series, Linen Mills has become a television and film studio and has been home to a tourist installation that allows visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Westeros through a highly immersive exhibition. Character outfits, armor, jewelry and weapons are visible. The famous Iron Throne is of course also part of the program.
It takes 2.5 hours or 150 minutes to complete the Game of Thrones Studio tour.
Game of Thrones Studio Tour
Located on the site of Linen Mills studios, the Game of Thrones Studio brings together objects and sets from the famous HBO series.
Made famous by the series adapted from the saga of George R.R. Martin, the Linen Mills studio in Bandridge has since the end of the broadcast endowed with a wing entirely dedicated to the series. Several costumes and armours, swords, jewels and other decorative elements are exhibited there, with sometimes authentic reconstructions, such as that of the throne room of Dragonstone.
