“I am Max Middle. I’m a twilight warrior. What about you, what do you play?”

Max Middle/Fantöm (Fabien Fournier)

The first scene of the Noob web-series is an advertisement of the game Horizon 1.0, strongly reminding the TV commercials of the MMORPG World of Warcraft.

This ad introduces us to the character of Fantöm (Fabien Fournier), played by Max Middle, the first beta tester of the game. During the connection of his character, we can discover him in front of a futuristic building, referring to Centralis, a futuristic and technological city that is the capital of the Empire faction.

Being an architecturally futuristic building, the Kinémax of Futuroscope was used as a background to illustrate very briefly Centralis.

Subsequently, the web-series has benefited from a community of fans helping the small team to finance the series over the years. This allowed them to model their own vision of Centralis to avoid reusing the Futuroscope.

682 161

In May 2013, the Noob team offered to finance a film via a crowdfunding campaign to its fans. The campaign reached 682,161€ out of the 35,000€ requested, becoming the 3rd largest audiovisual project ever financed by participatory funding in the world.

KinéMAX

The KinéMax pavilion is one of the two pavilions of the Futuroscope park, present since the opening in 1987.

The second pavilion in the park to be built, its construction began in late 1985. The pavilion represents giant quartz crystals rising from the ground. Inclined at 60°, the pavilion reaches a height of 35 meters. The shape allows to hide a huge block housing the cinema room.
The interior room has the largest flat screen in Europe with a surface area of nearly 600m2. It can accommodate 440 seats.

Les grands espaces de Catherine Meurisse (dargaud)

Les grands espaces (French Edition)

Catherine Meurisse grew up in the countryside, surrounded by stones and trees, and with a building site in front of her eyes: the farm her parents were renovating in order to live there as a family. A big old house that is being transformed, trees to be planted, a garden to be imagined, nature to be observed: this is how the taste for creation is born and the beginnings of a future profession are born: draftswoman. With humor and tenderness, the author recounts the paradise of childhood, which nature, art and literature, her lifelong allies, can help to preserve as well as to overcome. Les Grands Espaces tells the story of a childhood and the imagination that unfolds there, in complete freedom.
