The provenance of a very rare orchid from the Amazon leads James Bond on the trail of Hugo Drax near Iguazu Falls, those immense Brazilian and Argentinean waterfalls.
Equipped with a boat improved by Q, Bond goes up the river until he is interrupted by henchmen from Drax and Jaws (Richard Kiel).
James Bond manages to escape from them but, to Q’s dismay, the ship does not return safely to port. Agent 007 used the hang glider option before allowing the craft to rush into the falls.
A destiny that also awaits Jaws who, as usual, will come out unscathed.
The budget for this film was $34 million. This amount alone exceeds the sum of all the amounts allocated to the other opuses.
Iguazu Falls
The huge Iguazu Falls, the border between Argentina and Brazil, are a very popular tourist attraction, at the center of a special legend.
Together, these falls form the largest waterfall in the world, the highest being 82 meters.
