Michel Vaillant and his team, mainly composed of his father and his brother, goes to Angoulême to compete in the Remparts circuit. The opportunity for the team to show its mechanical superiority by taking advantage of the event to display its showcase of cars.
The team chose a splendid establishment not far from Angoulême to stay, the hostellerie du Moulin du Maine Brun. A beautiful country house known for its tranquility and its upscale amenities, having hosted Jacques Chirac, Catherine Deneuve or Johnny Hallyday. Not to mention the entire Vaillant family.
The first series of Michel Vaillant counts 70 albums.
Route des Petits Ponts
Once located on the route des Petits Ponts in Asnières-sur-Nouère, the hostellerie du Moulin du Maine Brun was a particularly popular establishment.
Equipped with a swimming pool, long outdoor terraces, the gastronomic relay called Hostellerie du Moulin du Maine Brun was frequented by Johnny Hallyday, Jacques Chirac, Catherine Deneuve or Michel Sardou.
Closed since 2015, the property was put up for sale but no new establishment has been built on this site since.
