Its swirling stairwell being particularly exploited for the needs of this scene being among the most spectacular of Morbius.
Produced by Sony Studios, in collaboration with Marvel, Morbius is part of the same universe as Venom and its sequel. One of the objectives of this movie is to bring together on screen the famous Sinister Six, the legendary team of super-villains opposed to Spider-Man. The release of Morbius, which was repeatedly postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, was a success in its first few weeks of release, despite mixed reviews.
Morbius took 12 weeks to shoot and took place in Manchester, London and Atlanta.
The Battleship Building
Grade II listed, the Battleship Building was built as a depot for British Rail.
Now used as offices, the Battleship Building was remodeled by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris Architects, a highly regarded firm. Its impressive Art Deco staircase is one of its main assets.
