Hill Valley Place
Hill Valley’s main square is a constant through time. In 1985, Marty (Michael J. Fox) and Jennifer (Claudia Wells) met there at the end of classes.
In 1955, the young man discovered the place with its picturesque café where he met his father (Crispin Glover). Marty, pursued by Biff (Thomas F. Wilson), invented skateboarding there and it is also from here that, in the first opus, Marty goes back to the future by means of a cable connected to the town hall clock.
In 2015, Marty is stunned by all the innovations of the future. Flying cars, holographic cinema, information on a giant screen…
In 1885, on the other hand, the place is only a sketch in a sea of dust. The clock has just been delivered and a big party is getting ready for its inauguration. It makes sense to attend such an event.
At the party organised for the Town Hall clock in the third opus, three famous musicians, members of the ZZ Top, played the role of the country band at the ball.
Universal Studios Backlot - Courthouse Square
Built in 1948, the Courthouse Square is part of a set of Universal Studios decors.
The courthouse and some buildings escaped two fires in 1990 and 2008 despite the destruction of many other infrastructures around.
It is possible to visit the various buildings during the Studio Tour organized by Universal.
