“- Whoa. Wait a minute, Doc. Are you trying to tell me that my mother has got the hots for me?

– Precisely.

– Whoa. This is heavy.

– There’s that word again. “Heavy.” Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the Earth’s gravitational pull?”

Marty McFly and Doc Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd)

In 1985, Marty studied at this high school, where he regularly arrived late.

He even tried to participate in the audition for the high school prom, to no avail. For the record, we can also see Huey Lewis, performer of two titles of the soundtrack, including the mythical, The Power of Love, as a juror of the audition. Marty’s band plays The Power of Love and, in a little blink of an eye, the character played by Huey Lewis tells him that “are just too darn loud”.

When Marty prevented his parents from meeting in 1955, he was forced to make things right and went to the same high school to try to bring them closer together.

Of course, he encountered several difficulties, notably in the person of Biff Tannen (Thomas F. Wilson), in love with Lorraine (Lea Thompson).

The dancing magic of mermaids is Marty’s only chance to play cupid for his parents.

40

The storyline of the first installment has been rejected more than 40 times by several major studios including Disney.

Whittier High School

Founded in 1900, Whittier High School originally consisted of classrooms on the upper floor of the Jonathan Bailey School.

At that time, 47 students made up the entire institution. A study room, a library, a laboratory, a wood stove, a few books and a statue of Julius Caesar were the only facilities the students enjoyed.

In 1905, a new building was constructed on the exact location of the present building. The 1933 earthquake destroyed the architecture, which had to be partially rebuilt.

The school’s mascot, a red cardinal, was chosen for his scarlet fur, which matched the school’s colors, as well as his spirit and determination, representative of Whittier High School.

Among the most well-known alumni are actress Vaneza Pitynski, Pixar Animation Studios founder John Lasseter and the 37th President of the United States, Richard Nixon.
