Harvard Bridge
Like all Marvel productions in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is based in Atlanta at Pinewood Atlanta Studios. A complex also known as Trilith Studios, located at 461 Sandy Creek Road. Nevertheless, director Ryan Coogler was also keen to shoot on location, especially when it came time to introduce the audience to Riri Williams, the future Iron Heart (Dominique Thorne).
The succession is assured
The entire team traveled to Cambridge and Boston, stopping at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus. Not far from there, the bridge was closed to traffic while the big chase sequence of the feature film was being filmed, when the first Iron Heart armor was revealed.
Resilient Blockbuster
The death of Chadwick Boseman has strongly affected the production of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. A tragedy that forced Ryan Coogler, also co-writer of the script, to make very important changes, as he explained to the site Complex: “We knew that the film would have a greater scope than the previous one. I wanted to push my own limits without comparing my approach to that of the first Black Panther. I don’t think that would be a healthy way to look at it.“The filmmaker wore a pendant with Chadwick Boseman’s face throughout the promotional tour of the feature film.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever cost $250 million.
Harvard Bridge
Located in the continuity of Massachusetts Avenue in Boston, the Harvard Bridge is a steel girder bridge.
Inaugurated in 1891, the Harvard Bridge connects Boston and Cambridge and bears the name of the prestigious university, itself named after the Reverend John Harvard. At 659.82 meters, it is the longest bridge over the Charles River. It symbolizes the end of historic struggles between the cities of Boston and Cambridge.
