The stalker harassed
Wishing to escape his past, Joe (Penn Badgley) decides to go to Europe in search of a former fantasy of his: Marianne (Tati Gabrielle).
Finding himself in London, he is harassed by a mysterious individual who knows about the former bookseller’s past. He is therefore forced to join a group of rich personalities in order to unmask his oppressor.
Hampsbridge: Phoebe Manor
In addition to persecuting Joe, the mysterious individual eliminates members of the group. Fearing that they might be next, the group of wealthy personalities, accompanied by Joe, go to Lady Phoebe’s (Tilly Keeper) family mansion in Hampsbridge for the weekend.
The famous Knebworth House, a country house located in Stevenage, was used as the setting for this key location in the plot of episode 4 and 5. Showrunner Sera Gamble told Tudum, “Knebworth, where we went, is very conducive to filming.”
Both exteriors and interiors appear on the screen. The teams built the sets directly in Knebworth House. Even Phoebe’s sex boudoir was created inside the prestigious house.

During their weekend in Hampsbridge, Joe goes on a hunting trip in the woods next to Phoebe’s mansion.
This wooded area is not located near Knebworth House, as one might expect, but in Black Park. It is a place near Wexham, Buckinghamshire.
The shooting of the season 4 lasted 5 months, it began on March 22, 2022 and ended on August 27, 2022.
Knebworth House
Knebworth House is a famous English country house located in Stevenage in Hertfordshire, England.
Knebworth House, a Grade II listed building, has been the home of the Lytton family since 1940. Its current owner, Henry Lytton-Cobbold, is known to have had a career in the film industry and frequently rents out the house for film shoots. Batman, The Great Muppet Adventure, Leather Hat and Boots and You are just a few examples of the productions that have featured the building.
