Entrance of the visitors of the Ministry of Magic
As Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) and his cousin Dudley (Harry Melling) are attacked by hijackers, Harry uses magic and summons a Patronus. The affair did not go unnoticed by the Ministry of Magic, which took the opportunity to expel Harry from Hogwarts. But Albus Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) is able to acquit the boy and get him back into Hogwarts.
The Ministry of Magic on Great Scotland Yard
Harry’s trial is held at the Ministry of Magic where Arthur Weasley (Mark Williams) leads him. The father of the Weasley family takes the young boy to the visitor’s entrance, which is actually a phone booth. The latter is located on Great Scotland Yard. But to the great disappointment of the wizard’s fans, there is no cabin there, this one being only a prop for this short scene.
A place that has become a legend
Short but intense since this brief appearance contributed to make the place one of the most popular spots for potterheads. It is not unusual to come across a guided tour explaining the importance of the place in the saga. An artery that we find later in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1, when the trio tries to penetrate the Ministry of Magic. Although the cabin does not reappear, we can distinguish the sections of wall so characteristic of the neighborhood.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix received two awards, a People’s Choice Award for Favorite Drama in 2008 and a Teen Choice Award for Best Drama, Action or Adventure Film of the Summer in 2007.
15 Great Scotland Yard
Great Scotland Yard is a London thoroughfare in the St James’s district, known worldwide as the home of the Metropolitan Police Service, now known as “Scotland Yard”.
The exact etymology of the street’s name is not fully known, but its most commonly described origin is from the buildings that once housed the delegates of the Kingdom of Scotland and the various sovereigns when they visited the English royalty.
Later, Great Scotland Yard became known for giving its name to the famous London police force. At 3-5 there is a huge hotel managed by Hyatt which has become one of the most luxurious establishments in the British city.
