Colette Buisserond, resident of the EHPAD in L’amour n’a pas d’âge
Colette Buisserond is forced by her children to go and live in an EHPAD after her femoral neck fracture. In this establishment, the first times are hard: she gets depressed. But she meets Jean’s eyes, a facetious former school teacher, and it’s love at first sight. This situation displeases Julie, Colette’s daughter.
It was in 2017 that Thibaut Lambert accepted an author residency in the EHPAD of Saujon, not far from where he lives. It is after meeting the director of the establishment that he accepts this challenge. A residence of a comic book author in a retirement home is very rare.
Thibaut Lambert went several times in this EHPAD. About ten residents between 65 and 90 years old take part in the sessions supervised by an animator and a psychologist. Soon the subject of love is discussed. It is chosen by the participants. Without really recounting their own lives in the retirement home, they draw on their experiences to write the screenplay for L’amour n’a pas d’âge with the author. Composed of pavilions with small gardens, the Sud Saintonge medicalized EHPAD is located 10 km from the sea.
L’amour n’a pas d’âge consists of 92 pages.

Belonging to the Orpéa group, Sud Saintonge is a medicalised establishment for elderly residents.
Composed of small pavilions and gardens, this EHPAD is organised around nurses, a psychologist, an occupational therapist, care assistants and medical-psychological assistants.
