Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge

The secret identity of Spider-Man (Tom Holland), aka Peter Parker, has just been revealed to the world by Misterio (Jake Gyllenhaal), blaming him as the one responsible for his death in the process. A crowd jumps on Peter and MJ (Zendaya). The Weaver decides to grab MJ and take him away from the crowd on the Queensboro Bridge. Unfortunately for him, the helicopters are out, leaving only a few minutes of respite for Spiderman and his girlfriend before they have to leave.
In this scene, we see the Roosevelt Island Tramway crossing the Queensboro Bridge. A nice nod to the original trilogy as this is where the Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) gives Peter (Tobey Maguire) an ultimatum: save MJ (Kirsten Dunst) or a cable car full of innocent people.

Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge
The Queensboro Bridge is one of the bridges linking Manhattan to the mainland and in particular to one of its flagship boroughs, Queens.
Begun in 1903, one of the bays collapsed during a storm, numerous strikes slowed down the construction site, an attempt at sabotage by extremist trade unionists with dynamite nearly caused several months of delays and finally it cost the lives of 50 workers.
In 2011, the bridge was officially renamed the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge in honor of the city’s former mayor from 1978 to 1989, Ed Koch, although many residents continue to call it by its former name.
