Dunn's River Falls
After being shot on the beach, Honey Ryder offers Quarrel and James Bond to join a hideout.
Chased by dogs and Doctor No’s men, they cross many streams and a small jungle before arriving at these waterfalls to cool off.
Honey takes the opportunity to tease 007 a little, while Quarrel, observing the surroundings, warns his companions of the presence of wheel tracks. According to Honey, they’re supposed to be the Dragon’s.
Later, in a small isolated corner on the left side of the falls, Honey confides in the secret agent to tell him about her arrival in Jamaica, the death of her father and her misadventure with her landlord.
Ironically, the heroes travel several kilometres to reach these falls, which are actually located just above the beach where they met. It is seen a short moment after the shooting sequence when they fled.
In 2003, the American Film Institute placed Sean Connery’s James Bond in third place in the Top 100 Heroes and Villains of Cinema.
Dunn's River Falls & Park
With a height of 55 m and a length of 600 m, the Dunn’s River Falls are a major attraction in Jamaica.
Located 3 km from Ocho Rios, the Dunn’s River Falls flow directly into the Caribbean Sea.
In 1657, the site was the scene of a battle between the English and the Spanish Expeditionary Force of Cuba, fighting for the conquest of the island. This confrontation is known as “Las Chorreras”, in English “Falls”.
