“- Who told you to stop cutting? Someone tell you to stop cutting? Did you tell him to stop cutting?”

Peter Venkman (Bill Murray) to Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) and the police officer (Dave Florek)

Dana (Sigourney Weaver), concerned about the supernatural events that occurred earlier on Oscar (Will and Hank Deutschendorf), calls the three ghost hunters to the rescue.

After taking readings in the apartment, they ask the young woman the exact location of the incident. She shows them a pedestrian crossing in the middle of an intersection.

After stopping traffic and with some very interesting recordings, Egon, Ray (Dan Aykroyd) and Peter decide to dig to see what’s going on under the tar.

Despite the interruption of their work by the police force and Con Edison’s supervisor (Richard Foronjy), the three hunters manage to collect a very interesting sample of material.

This journey will cost them an arrest and an eventful trial.

Instead of the 1st avenue, it’s the 6th that was planned in the script of Ghostbusters 2 dating from 1988.

1479 1st Avenue

Located at the eastern end of the island, 1st Avenue is the first of Manhattan’s twelve numbered avenues.

The Commissioners’ Plan of 1811 provided for twelve avenues running lengthwise through Manhattan. The 1st Avenue, which has only northbound traffic, runs from Houston Street to the Willis Avenue Bridge in the Bronx.

The artery passes in front of the United Nations headquarters, the Medical Center, P.S; 122 and was the residence of Antonín Dvořák and Ben Gazzara.

It is also found in the famous video games Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars under the name Albany Avenue.
