M (Judi Dench) suspects Elliot Carver of involvement in the disappearance of the HMS Devonshire. She sends James Bond to Hamburg to investigate.
The boss of the MI6 suggests besides to his agent to approach Paris (Teri Hatcher), the wife of Elliot and former lover of 007.
On the spot, after leaving his BMW with the valet, not without a touch of humour, James Bond makes contact with the media tycoon, who ignores him. 007 rushes to get closer to Paris.
But the businessman, noticing the little manoeuvre, has Bond dismissed and asks his men to teach him a lesson. Carver’s henchmen will take the lesson. And 007 also can’t help but sabotage Elliot’s meeting by cutting off the building’s power.
IBM’s offices in Bedfont Lakes, Fultham, replaced buildings in Hamburg.
