Puente Gravina In Puglia

Saga James Bond
Movie No Time To Die Cary Joji Fukunaga (2021)
Just when he thought he was done with violent confrontations and car chases, James Bond (Daniel Craig) is caught up in his past. On vacation in Italy with his fiancée Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux), he suddenly finds himself trapped on a bridge and is forced to jump off. The introductory sequence of No Time to Die exploited the romantic landscapes of southern Italy.

The ambush on the bridge takes place while James Bond is in Matera. In reality, however, the building is located in Gravina in Puglia, about thirty kilometres from Matera. Determined to use the bridge as the setting for one of the film’s big action scenes, director Cary Joji Fukunaga asked the special effects team to digitally link the bridge to Matera.

No Time To Die – Vinyl gold color

Listen to the soundtrack of the 25th James Bond movie with this beautiful exclusive gold vinyl edition. The album includes all the tracks composed by Hans Zimmer, as well as the song “No Time To Die” by Billie Eilish.

Before the film was released in theatres, the latter shared working shots on which appeared a drawing of the bridge, hanging on the cliff where the troglodytic village of Matera is located. On screen, the illusion is perfect.

Via Casalnuovo

Gravina in Puglia is a marvel of the Puglia region and embodies a true Italian way of life, far from the big cities.

Built on a site already inhabited in the Paleolithic era, Gravina in Puglia is famous for hosting one of the oldest fairs in Europe. Wheat, vines and olives are cultivated here, from which a very famous oil is made. Its monuments, including the cathedral, the Madonna delle Grazie and of course the Roman bridge, used in the James Bond movie, No Time to Die, also ensure its popularity with tourists. On the bridge from which it is possible to admire one of the most beautiful views of the area. Since the Second World War, during which it was almost completely destroyed, the city never ceases to amaze its visitors.
