Church of Condé-sur-Noireau
A campaign outside Paris
Caught up in the whirlwind of the presidential campaign, Stéphane Blé (Jean-Pascal Zadi) follows the advice of William Crozon (Eric Judor). If he plays underhand for other candidates such as Étienne Durandeau (Emmanuel Dehaene) or Éric Andréi (Benoît Poelvoorde), he manages to give the candidate surprising ideas in order to get him off the hook.
As the youth worker of the Bobigny MJC is very appreciated in the working-class districts of the Paris region, his advisor suggests that he goes to the provinces, more precisely to Calvados.
In Condé-en-Normandie, no camera
In the third episode of the series, Stéphane Blé and his team arrive in Normandy in the small village of Condé-sur-Noireau. This fictitious Calvadosian commune was modeled after Condé-en-Normandie.
However, the inhabitants of the village find it difficult to recognize their town in Represent. And for good reason, no camera was found on the village square. The production preferred the town of Marines in the Val d’Oise to shoot the sequences supposed to take place in Calvados.
In front of the church of Condé-sur-Noireau : singing for communion
There is no Saint-Martin or Saint-Sauveur church in the series, but rather that of Saint-Rémi in Marines. But Jean-Pascal Zadi wanted to make a nod to Calvados, where he spent a large part of his childhood in Hérouville-Saint-Clair and Ifs.
In this scene, the mayor of Condé-sur-Noireau welcomes the presidential candidate by explaining to him that he should not forget the countryside. Many of the difficulties in rural areas are also found in suburban neighborhoods.
Right next to the town hall, on the same square, stands the church. At the end of a service, Stéphane Blé decided to sing a song, which was taken up by the few inhabitants under the Renaissance porch of the place of worship. This moment was supposed to bring all the cults together in the same communion, but it turns out to be catastrophic and funny for the candidate.
The church of Saint-Rémi de Marines was classified as a historical monument on June 16, 1926.
Place du Maréchal Leclerc
The place du maréchal Leclerc is located in the commune of Marines in the Val-d’Oise.
It is the main square of this small town in the Paris region.
It houses the town hall but also the church of Saint-Rémi. It was built in the 12th century and completed in 1570. It has a flamboyant gothic style, but its porch is in Renaissance style.
