“- Ok what’s the plan

– The plan is for me to smash it!”

Several members of the Hero Corp find themselves detained in the Cement Island penitentiary. Doug, Burt, Stan and Karin discover life in the penitentiary where they are unable to use their superpowers. Problem is, all the other inmates, including the lizard men, want their skin. A fight breaks out in the penitentiary between the two groups.

If the penitentiary is represented on an island, the shooting, notably of the fight scene in episode 2 of season 4, was done on the roof of the former submarine base of La Rochelle.

Hero Corp was born in 2002. Simon Astier and Alban Lenoir wrote a thirteen sketches comedy called Entre Deux . One of the sketches deals with the subject of superheroes where they have unconvincing powers.

Quai de l'Entrepôt

Huge bunker dating from the Second World War, the submarine base of La Rochelle sheltered German U-Boats during the conflict. It is located Quai de l’entrepôt in the city of Charente-Maritime.

This submarine base was built between 1941 and 1943 by the Todt Organization, a German company.

It was part of the famous Atlantic Wall that the Germans built during the Second World War to protect the coast. This bunker, then called the La Pallice submarine base, after the district of the city where it is located, housed the submarines (U-boats) of the Kriegsmarine. It could accommodate up to six of them.
