Shelburne Falls, a small picturesque town in Massachusetts, was the location for the filming of the miniseries Dexter: New Blood. The metal bridge is a staple in the city center and is in the camera’s sights many times when Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) or other prominent characters use it. Shelburne Falls has allowed growers to limit landscape changes through its architecture.
A bridge between two series
Ten years have passed between the end of the Dexter series and the beginning of the mini-series Dexter: New Blood. In the latter, Dexter Morgan, the former specialist in bloodstain analysis for the Miami police, evolves under the pseudonym of Jim Lindsay. The name is a funny nod to Jeff Lindsay, the author who created the character of Dexter Morgan.
Catch up
Dexter is one of the most acclaimed series of the 2000s. Its ending is also among the most criticized. A conclusion that somehow encouraged Michael C. Hall to return to the skin of the famous serial killer, as he explained to GQ magazine: “I didn’t want to return just because we could, I wanted to return because we discovered a story that felt like it was worth telling. Something like this that is dependent on so many moving parts, you never know exactly how it’s all going to go, but ultimately I had enough faith to take the leap.“

Iron Bridge
This steel bridge was built in 1890 to span the Deerfield River.
The Truss Bridge is one of two notable bridges in the small town of Shelburne Falls. It is a structure composed of elements connected to each other. If this model of bridge is also present in other countries of the world, it is particularly used in the United States. The Shelbunre Falls truss bridge is located not far from the Bridge of Flowers and the Deerfield River Reservoir.
