Bayou Garden

During the Jazzellerault festival, the English singer Hugh Coltman meets the Poitou photographer Bonze. Following a photo session with wet collodion, the English singer has asked many times the Poitevin to realize the photos of his album. For several reasons, the collaboration was never realized, but for the release of the Dr. John tribute album, it was something else.
Hugh Coltman asked Bonze to direct the video for Cha Dooky Doo, the first single from his album Night Trippin’. Wishing to make a video evoking a walk in a Louisiana bayou, Bronze didn’t go very far as he decided to settle in the Jardin de Bayou in Saint-Benoît.
It is on the banks of the Clain under the caves of Passelourdain that Hugh Coltman and Matthis Pascaud wander in an exotic decor purely poitevins.
The shooting of the clip took place over 2 days.
Bayou Garden
The Bayou garden is a public garden of the city of Saint-Benoît located at the edge of the Clain. It offers very exotic landscapes.
During the 1990s, the city of Saint-Benoît decided to acquire private plots along the Clain River in order to revive its heritage identity. The city built a fake swamp and planted many trees such as palm trees and bald cypresses. A true exotic landscape in the heart of the Vienne, the area will become protected for the fauna and flora that reside there.
