Having lost his job and unable to find one, Jean-Pierre (Albert Dupontel) decides to go to the Avia gas station in the Les Montagnes shopping area to douse himself in gasoline in order to set himself on fire in a department store.

Albert Dupontel and Gustave Kervern, it is a great love story. After playing the role of the policeman in Dupontel’s film Enfermés dehors, Kervern asked his actor/director friend to play in Le Grand Soir.
