Arc de Triomphe
Paris, a jewel box of love
The Arc de Triomphe is the first Parisian monument that director Jeremy Garelick films in Murder Mystery 2. In front of the building where the characters played by Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler must find the kidnapper of their friend (Adeel Akhtar).
The beginning of an action-packed Parisian tour, about which the director confided to the Screenrant website: “The idea of being able to shoot at the Paris Opera or the Arc de Triumph or the Eiffel Tower. The opportunity to go shoot in those places it was incredible. There’s so much history. It’s the city of romance and love. And people love Adam and Jen all over the world. So we were able to get more access, I think, then a typical film and the Parisian crew are they were incredible.“
Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler in triumph
Murder Mystery 2 organized the return of American actors to Paris only a few days after Keanu Reeves’ visit for the shooting of John Wick 4. Both features include a chase sequence at the Arc de Triomphe.
The difference is that Murder Mystery 2 actually took place on the Star Roundabout, whereas John Wick 4 director Chad Stahelski simply shot the film’s chase sequence in a studio in Germany. In Murder Mystery 2 , the characters take fewer risks than the hitman played by Keanu Reeves.
Murder Mystery 2 is the 14th production in which Jennifer Aniston has been involved as a producer.
Arc de Triomphe
Completed in 1836, the Arc de Triomphe dominates the Place Charles-de-Gaulle square and is one of the most famous symbols of Paris.
Commissioned by Emperor Napoleon I in 1806 to perpetuate the memory of the victories of the French army in the Napoleonic wars, the Arc de Triomphe was born after thirty years of work. Designed by the architect Jean-François-Thérèse Chalgrin, it houses the tomb of the Unknown Soldier and is inspired by the Roman triumphal arches. Decorated with various sculptures, high reliefs and bas-reliefs in particular, it has been the scene of many events and other commemorations over the years. It is open to the public. It is therefore possible to reach its summit to admire a 360 degree view of Paris.
