A regular visitor to the Charente department, the TV series La Loi de… has made the Palais de Justice in Angoulême its nerve center. Thus, La Loi de Gloria was no exception. The director Didier Le Pêcheur shot many trial scenes in this famous building but also in its square. The authorities having left the free rein to all the team to completely appropriate the places and thus confer to the TV movie a patina of the most authentic.
Revealed by Pedro Almodovar in Spain, Victoria Abril was subsequently adopted by France. Seen in the cinema in works such as Gazon Maudit, she has also turned a lot in television, in La Loi de Gloria but also in the series Clem. She also participated in the series Myster Mocky presents, Les Beaux mecs, Hôpital central, Capitaine Marleau, Caïn, Joséphine, ange-gardien and Demain nous appartient.

Angoulême Courthouse
Built in 1826 on the site of the former Jacobin convent, the Angoulême courthouse is recognizable by its imposing columns.
The courthouse project was entrusted to the architect Paul Abadie. In neo-classical style, this building dominates Place Francis Louvel. All that remains of the Jacobin convent today is the garden, now transformed into a public space on which sits a 19th century fountain. All the important cases of the region are judged here.
