A1A Car Wash
Dirty money to launder
The A1A car wash appears in the first season under the name Velvet-Touch Car Wash. It is indeed here that Walter White (Bryan Cranston) works to make ends meet. Later, he decides to buy it back in order to launder the money he made from the methamphetamine manufacturing. He then places his wife Skyler (Anna Gunn) at the head of the company.
Car wash: an important place in the saga
Always keen to use real locations, showrunners Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan chose to shoot the car wash scenes in an authentic car wash, called Octopus War Wash. Thus, no major modifications were necessary. The decorators just had to replace the original sign, and all the elements on which the brand name appeared. The Octopus Car Wash is featured in seasons 1, 3, 4 and 5. The company has since been bought out and is now called Mister Car Wash.
The A1A car wash appears in 16 episodes of Breaking Bad. It is visible from the first episode.
