Édith (Marion Cotillard) and Simone aka Mômone (Sylvie Testud) used to sing in the streets of Belleville to earn a few coins.
These stairs in the neighborhood often saw them running and climbing to get to the small streets of Montmartre.
Benoît Dahan chose the stairs of Drevet Street in the 18th arrondissement for the decorations of the Belleville stairs, which have now disappeared. This artery was named in honour of the engraver Pierre Drevet (1663-1738).
It was the age when Edith Piaf recorded her first song, Les Mômes de la Cloche.
Not yet known as Edith Piaf, Giovanna Gassion explains to her friend that they are going to sing half an hour before going to eat. Rue Drevet
Rue Drevet, located in the 18th arrondissement, is made up of the former escalier des Trois-Frères and the former rue du Poirier.
First step up to Place du Tertre, Drevet Street is an artery 82 m long and 4.5 m wide.
Named in 1867 after the engraver of Louis XIV, Pierre Drevet (1663-1738), it is composed of the former rue du Poirier and the escalier des Trois-Frères. The latter is steep enough to cross the inhabitants or tourists going up to the Butte Montmartre.
