Address Trevi Fountain Piazza di Trevi, 00187 Roma RM, Italy

A masterpiece of Baroque art, the Trevi Fountain is considered one of the most romantic fountains in the world. It attracts millions of tourists every year.

The fountain was erected between 1732 and 1762 in the rione di Trevi, next to the Poli Palace. With a height of 26.3 meters, it was commissioned by Pope Clement XII to celebrate the Aqua Virgo aqueduct built in 19 BC. It has been restored several times in order to preserve its beauty, and every day visitors throw coins into its basin. A lucky tradition that allows the city of Rome to donate nearly one million euros per year to the Catholic charity Caritas. It appears in many films.
