Tollymore Forest Park acts as the gateway to the Morne Mountains, south of Belfast. It is the first state park in all of Northern Ireland. Created on June 2, 1955, it covers 630 hectares and includes many buildings nestled in greenery, such as the Clanbrassil barn, the Hermitage or the Corne bridge. Home to the richest flora and fauna, it lends itself wonderfully to hiking and other explorations. Tollymore features in the first episode of the fantasy series Game of Thrones. Part of the forest was also logged in the movie Dracula Untold.
