Address Tina Turner Highway TN-19, Ripley, TN, USA

Few rock stars have given their name to a highway. A consecration to recognize the importance of Tina Turner and her large contribution to popular music.

In 2002, the portion of State Route 19 located between Brownsville and the town of Nutbush was renamed Tina Turner Highway; the singer having spent her childhood in the region. The singer spent her childhood in the area, and she cites this famous State Route 19 in her song Nutbush City Limits. The artist’s childhood home was destroyed. The churches in Woodlawn and Spring Hill, where she used to visit with her family, are still standing.
