This Six Flags theme park had to close its doors following the passage of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Opened in 2000, the Six Flags park in New Orleans was appreciated by visitors thanks to its sensational attractions such as the Mega Zeph, a wooden roller coaster, the Bayou Blaster or the Sonic Slam. These last two were also transferred to Great Escape, another Queensbury park in New York State in 2009. Following its closure, Six Flags remained closed and in 2014 hosted the filming of some scenes from the Jurassic World movie.
