Located in Jamestown, the Railtown 1897 State Historic Park is an open-air museum of steam locomotives and many other pieces.
The park subtly combines the history of the railway industry and the appearances of these incredible machines in films and series.
In addition to a visit to the restoration facilities, the park offers a 45-minute excursion on board one of the trains during which many disguised passengers tell the story of the different locomotives.
The first known filming in the park dates back to 1919. Since then, the different machines have been used many times, describing the Sierra 3 as the “most seen locomotive in the world”.
