Address Pomander Walk New York, NY 10025, USA

A collection of twenty-seven Tudor-style houses, Pomander Walk is definitely one of those slightly hidden places that New York is full of.

Although Pomander Walk may look like a mews, as one can find in New York or in London, the differences are very clear.

For example, the houses you see on this walk were never stables. In the case of the Pomander, the houses were first envisaged as temporary.

The initial project consisted in proposing temporary housing in order to supply the treasury of a large hotel that was to take pride of place on this same site. But in the end, the place went through time to the point of being classified by the city in 1982.

A little corner of paradise, Pomander Walk allows you to enter a fairy tale universe that is very surprising to find in the middle of Manhattan, not far from the modern buildings with steel facades.

And it has several illustrious former residents such as Herbert Stothart, a famous composer for the cinema and Rosalind Russell, an American actress of the post-war period.
